Procedures, Staff Briefings & SIA Notification for Pubs, Halls, Churches and Venues
The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn’s Law, is expected to come into force in spring 2027. If 200 or more people could be at your premises at the same time, staff included, it almost certainly applies to you. That covers village halls, pubs, bars, restaurants, churches, community centres, shops, theatres, gyms and many more.
For most venues the duties are simple: notify the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and have workable procedures for evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communication. The hard part is knowing where to start, writing it down and making sure your team actually knows the plan. Martyn’s Law Venue Planner walks you through it.
A checklist of the details you’re likely to need to notify, a record of your notification, and a changes log that tracks the 28-day reporting deadline. Running several premises? Add them all, from a pub group to a church with several halls. There’s an enhanced tier checklist for venues of 800 or more.
No account, no subscription, nothing uploaded. Back up to a file and share it with your committee or managers. A sample village hall, community pub and showground let you explore every feature first, and 13 plain-English guides explain the law.
An independent tool to help you organise your preparations and keep records. Not legal or security advice, doesn’t submit anything to the SIA, and not endorsed by the Home Office, the SIA or the police. Rules summarised as of October 2026.
Like all Nexior Gray products, Martyn’s Law Venue Planner is a single HTML file. Open it in any browser and it works immediately. Buy once and it’s yours.
